About the OpportunityThomas Foods International Stawell is seeking a detail-oriented and organised Livestock Administration professional to join our team at our Stawell plant. The successful candidate will oversee the receiving and accurate documentation of sheep, lamb, and goats within our livestock complex, You will play a vital role in ensuring all animals meet required standards for slaughter, complying with QA, DAWR, and WHS requirements.

The Quality Ingredients for Success!

  • Minimum 1 year experience in administration or a similar role (2 years preferred).
  • Strong organisational skills, high computer literacy, and practical problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of stockyard administrative processes is preferred.
  • Valid VIC Driver’s License.

About the Job & Work Performed!

  • Documentation & Verification: Verify and process National Vendor Declarations (NVDs), Post Sale Summaries, and MSA Documentation.
  • Data Entry & Management: Enter data into Daisy and MeatPro systems, update kill data and maintain accurate livestock records.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with QA, DAWR, and WHS standards and animal welfare, complete PIC check reports, and prepare documentation for veterinary checks.
  • Livestock Coordination: Liaise with the livestock department, correlate market buys, stock movement and counts in lairages.
  • Administrative Support: Assist in updating livestock records, validating data, maintain stock ledgers, assist with training records and ensuring all animals meet the standards for slaughter.
  • Humane Handling: Receive, hold, and handle livestock in accordance with animal welfare standards.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Liaise with various departments, including QA, Head Office, and veterinary staff, to ensure accurate reporting and stock management.
