The Role

We are seeking a versatile Quality Manager for a 15-month fixed-term contract based at our Eagle Farm site in Queensland. In this role you will serve as the site’s technical authority for product release, overseeing the entire quality lifecycle from the QC Lab to site-wide compliance strategy. This role is perfect for a professional who thrives on having final accountability for GMP standards in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

You will oversee our Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority APVMA) manufacturing licence and manage the on-site QC Lab (2 direct reports). While our facility is APVMA regulated, we operate at a standard equivalent to a TGA certified facility.

This contract offers a unique opportunity for a professional to own a robust Quality Management System (QMS) and maintain high-level pharmaceutical rigour within a paper-based environment and is a critical role to the success of the business, ensuring that product supplied and processes undertaken are of the highest standard and meet all technical requirements and specifications.

What You Will Do:

• Strategic Quality Leadership: Lead site-wide compliance and professional development of the quality function.

• Total Quality Oversight: Own the full QMS, evaluating and authorising all master manufacturing and packaging documents.

• Lab Management: Direct the QC team’s workload, ensuring all testing, data recording, and equipment calibrations are completed to code.

• Audit Mastery: Lead the preparation for APVMA audits, manage corrective actions, and conduct internal auditing programs.

• Hands-on Operational Support: We value a leader who "gets their hands dirty." You will jump in to assist with lab tests, order chemicals, and move paperwork to support production flows.

What we are looking for:

• Pharma/Vet-Med Expertise: Deep experience in Quality Management (QA and QC) within a TGA or APVMA-regulated environment.

• Systems Proficiency: Proven ability to manage both a paper-based and digital QMS with high attention to detail.

• Leadership & Versatility: Experience managing a small technical team while remaining willing to perform "out of box" tasks to keep the facility running.

• Compliance Knowledge: Thorough understanding of the APVMA GMP Code and the ability to internally audit against it.
