School Officer/Handyperson - FT - Harvest Home PS

We currently have an opportunity for a Full Time School Officer/Handyperson. Based at Harvest Home Primary School, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the entire school facilities. Specifically, you will be accountable for the delivery of services and complete all assigned maintenance and service tasks to achieve all contractual obligations around safety, performance, quality, communications and special school projects.
What You’ll Do (key responsibilities)
This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:
- Complete all School Officer tasks
- Manage the School Facility
- Manage all aspects of Service Delivery Partners (SDP) to ensure they are complying with standards, policies, processes, systems and instructions that have been set at the School Facility
- Manage all aspects of Zero Harm requirements to ensure the Facility is operating in accordance with Zero Harm practices
- Be the first point of contact for the School Operator for all questions & queries
What You’ll Bring (experience required)
- Experience in handyman repairs, trades assistant, carpentry or similar trade background.
- Ability to supervise Project Work or related discipline.
- Experience in the delivery of FM services where subcontractors are used for reactive and planned maintenance.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of subcontractors.
- Familiarity and understanding of domestic building statutory obligations, codes of practice and Building code of Australia.
- Available to be on call when required (allowance paid)
