Your role at St John of God Subiaco Hospital
St John of God Subiaco Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pastoral Intern to join our Pastoral Care team on a fixed‑term, part‑time basis.
Working 30.4 hours per week (preferably concurrently), the Pastoral Intern will contribute to the delivery of meaningful pastoral support to patients and their families within a supervised mentor‑based learning environment.
This internship is designed to develop and strengthen core pastoral care competencies, providing valuable experience with the potential to progress into a Pastoral Practitioner role.
The Position:
To be successful in this role, you will have completed a minimum level of education equivalent to, or higher than, a Certificate IV, along with a demonstrated understanding of pastoral practice.
You will exhibit a strong awareness of, and respect for, diverse faith traditions, cultural backgrounds, and social contexts in the delivery of pastoral and spiritual care. In addition, you will demonstrate a high level of self‑awareness, the capacity for thoughtful self‑reflection, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

We can offer you
Salary: $74,627 per annum (pro rata), plus 12% superannuation
6-month fixed term position
