The role
As Account Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing client relationships and delivering strategic, results-driven PR campaigns. Reporting to the Senior Account Director or Account Director, you’ll lead media relations, oversee junior team members, and ensure best-in-class client service.
You’ll bring a strong understanding of the Australian media landscape and demonstrate a proactive approach to campaign execution, media coverage, and event delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, supporting Account Directors and driving the implementation of tailored PR strategies.
- Lead meetings, manage WIPs and confidently run media shoots and interviews.
- Build and maintain relationships with media, influencers and industry leaders.
- Oversee and mentor junior staff, ensuring high performance and attention to detail across all accounts.
- Contribute to new business proposals and case studies.
- Plan and execute high-end media events, brand activations and press launches.
- Track KPIs, manage budgets, and deliver reporting on media outcomes and campaign success.
What we’re looking for
- 4+ years’ PR experience, ideally within an agency and working on luxury brands.
- Proven leadership and staff management capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in PR, communications, marketing or a related field.
- Established media and influencer contacts across lifestyle sectors.
- Exceptional writing, presentation and organisational skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Apple Mac OS, InDesign, Photoshop and Canva.
- A polished communicator with impeccable presentation and a collaborative mindset.
- Confident managing time and resources effectively, with experience using tools like Harvest.
