As the Assistant Director at Goodstart Caloundra you’ll leverage your expertise and leadership to inspire and motivate your centre team, driving continuous improvement across all areas of centre operations. Collaborate with our dedicated leadership team, forge respectful and reciprocal relationships with families, and actively engage with the local community networks.
In this role, you will:
Support the Centre Director in the leadership of the team to provide high-quality early learning and care
Mentor and build capabilities within the centre team
Be responsible for the overall management of the centre in the Centre Director’s absence
Use and implement the Goodstart Practice Guide
About Goodstart Caloundra:
Located in the heart of Caloundra, close to schools, shopping centres, and public transport
Lead alongside a strong Centre Director in a well-established, community-connected centre
Provide care and education for children aged 15 months to school age
Work with a team that delivers high-quality play-based learning programs, including a Kindergarten and Pre-Kindergarten program delivered by fully qualified teachers
Support and embed the Key Educator Approach, fostering meaningful relationships with children and families
Enjoy large, natural outdoor play spaces with sandpits, veggie gardens, swings, worm farm, compost bins, and an Indigenous yarning circle used daily for Acknowledgement to Country
Be part of a team that values cultural inclusion, community engagement, and intentional teaching of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives

What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)
