Key Responsibilities:

• Cook with Swagger: Execute the Head Chef’s innovative menu with precision and flair, transforming local seafood, zingy citrus, and hinterland harvests into dishes that pop with flavor and personality.
• Menu Magic: Collaborate with the Head Chef to test new recipes, tweak dishes, and keep the menu fresh, bold, and tied to the Moreton Bay vibe—think coastal cool meets rural soul.
• Run the Line: Work the kitchen like a pro during service, keeping pace with the rush while ensuring every plate meets the Head Chef’s sky-high standards.
• Ingredient Wizardry: Source and prep the best local produce alongside the Head Chef, bringing quality and sustainability to the forefront of every dish.
• Team Dynamo: Support the Head Chef in leading the kitchen crew, guiding the Kitchen Hand when needed, and keeping the energy electric through every shift.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience: Proven time in a professional kitchen—whether café, restaurant, or beyond—with a track record of cooking up crowd-pleasers with finesse.
• Skills: Killer knife skills, a palate that can dance with bold flavors, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. Experience with seafood or farm-to-table cooking is a plus.
• Physical Requirements: Built for the heat—able to stand for hours, lift up to 20kg, and keep cool under pressure.

Pay: $36.09 – $50.52 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 38 per week
