About the Role
We’re excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Clinical Research Assistant to join our passionate Research Team, based at Icon Cancer Centre Adelaide (Kurralta Park). This full-time, 12-month contract role is perfect for someone looking to kick-start or expand their career in clinical research, particularly within oncology and haematology.

As a Clinical Research Assistant, you’ll play an essential role in the coordination and delivery of clinical trials at one of Australia’s most established private cancer clinical trials programs. Located within the state-of-the-art Tennyson Centre, you’ll support the on-site execution of national and international clinical studies conducted through Icon Research, contributing directly to our mission to improve patient outcomes through innovative cancer care.

This is your chance to work hands-on in cutting-edge oncology research and become a key player in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. You’ll gain exposure to all facets of trial management and work alongside a supportive team of Clinical Research Coordinators, Trial Investigators, Governance Officers, Oncologists, Haematologists, Pharmacists, and Nurses.

You’ll receive structured training and mentoring to help you develop in the role and prepare for long-term growth within the Icon Group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the coordination and administration of oncology and haematology clinical trials across multiple phases.
  • Collect, process, and dispatch clinical trial samples and prepare laboratory kits according to study protocols.
  • Prepare for patient visits, coordinate appointment scheduling, and liaise with external hospitals regarding tissue or medical information requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant clinical trial documentation, including Investigator Site Files and essential records in accordance with GCP (Good Clinical Practice).
  • Assist trial investigators with documentation reviews and sign-offs, ensuring timely and accurate data collection.
  • Support remote and on-site monitoring visits by study sponsors and CROs.
Occasionally travel between local clinics to assist with cross-site research activity.

This role provides a rare opportunity to gain diverse, real-world research experience in oncology, a field that is both intellectually stimulating and deeply impactful. You’ll be a part of a forward-thinking research team, with access to the resources and career pathways that only a large, integrated organisation like Icon can offer.

Whether you’re a recent graduate or an early-career health professional, if you’re passionate about clinical research and eager to grow within a supportive and innovative environment, we’d love to hear from you.

About You

Key Requirements:

  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in MS office suite and database management.
