The Role
Zerella Fresh is one of Australia’s largest grower and packers of Carrots, Onions and Potatoes supplying Australia’s leading supermarket chains plus independents and exports.
We are currently seeking experienced and motivated PACKING FACILITY SUPERVISORS to join our team on a full-time permanent basis, supporting operations at our Parilla site in South Australia.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to work both independently and as part of a team. Reporting directly to the Packing Production Manager you will be working in a packing facility environment.
An attractive remuneration package between $70,000 - $90,000 is available to the right candidates.
Duties include but not limited to:
· Oversee packing shed operations in support of the Packing Production Manager.
· Understand all sales orders and schedule work to ensure 100% delivery in full on time (DIFOT).
· Ensure the correct handling of all produce to meet customer requirements including grading, packing, cool chain, hygiene, and dispatch.
· Assess incoming produce in relation to quality and determine required grading resources, providing timely load assessments to Farm Managers and Harvest Supervisors.
· Monitor the quality of produce throughout the various stages within the production shed, washing, grading, and packing.
· Monitor and resolve issues impacting grading quality related to mechanical damage, refer concerns to the maintenance department as required.
· Liaise with key stakeholders including the Farm Managers, Harvest Supervisors, Maintenance Manager, and sales department as required.
· In conjunction with the Quality Assurance Manager, ensure all quality records are correct, allowing for complete traceability.
· Ensure the cool chain process is functioning effectively for the management and dispatch of produce.
· Ensure employees are effectively trained in machine operation, product handling, customer and system requirements, safe work practices and all other requirements.
· Ensure all personnel are performing effectively and efficiently as per standard procedure.
· Ensure all aspects of quality and safety management are complied with.
· Perform routine condition-based monitoring of equipment and report concerns to the maintenance department.
· Undertake routine communication with other business functions (i.e. sales, farm operations) to ensure seamless coordination of activities.
· All other requirements as directed to achieve business objectives.
Requirements:
· Certificate III or IV level qualification in Logistics, Warehouse Operations, or related field; OR 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
· Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience.
· Experience in a food packaging or processing environment.
· Experience in the processing of potato, carrot, and onion products (desirable).
· Experience operating machines, with the ability to resolve minor mechanical problems (desirable).
· Unrestricted Class C Drivers Licence.
· High Risk Work Licence (essential).

This position will require weekend and night work in line with production demands.
