The Role:

Reporting to the Marine Projects Manager this role plays an integral part in providing infrastructure to all our sites. The projects team is a hands-on team that is responsible for rolling out projects such as new pen set-ups and assisting with maintenance on Zone infrastructure

  • Use large plant and equipment on fish farm infrastructure.
  • Use high pressure equipment and various tools on fish farm infrastructure.
  • Assist the Plastic Welders with HDPE Butt, electrofusion and extrusion welding.
  • Ensure the site is clean and safe.
  • Assist with general marine projects when required.

This position is based out of our Pillings site, near Port Huon, and operates on a 7 days on, 7 days off roster

About you:

  • Experience using the following equipment in a high-risk working environment is desirable: JCB, wheel loader, forklift, chainsaw, welding under supervision.
  • You enjoy working on the water and can work as part of a small and existing team.
  • You possess a strong work ethic, well-developed communication skills.
  • Experience in a similar role, marine farm or aquaculture experience and a coxswain’s ticket are desirable but not essential.
  • You have a strong work ethic, well-developed communication skills and the ability to build professional relationships.
  • Flexible to travel to our farm sites located in Dover, Margate and Strahan on occasions.
