Job Description
As a Farm Hand at Inghams, located in NSW - Coombell, you will be an integral part of the Breeder Production department within the Farm & Hatcheries category. This casual position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the daily operations of our farm. Main responsibilities and tasks: - Assisting with general farm duties including feeding, watering, and monitoring the health of poultry - Participating in the breeding process by collecting eggs and maintaining accurate records - Supporting the maintenance of farm infrastructure and equipment - Engaging in pest and predator control measures to ensure the safety of the livestock - Adhering to health and safety regulations while working in various weather conditions The ideal candidate should be physically fit, possess a strong work ethic, and be willing to work flexible hours. Desired Skills and Experience
- Previous experience working on a farm or in a similar agricultural environment
- Ability to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
- Knowledge of animal husbandry practices, including feeding, handling, and health monitoring
- Capability to work effectively in a team as well as independently
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour tasks for extended periods
- Understanding of biosecurity and animal welfare principles
- Basic understanding of breeding production processes and procedures
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately
