Farm Machinery Operator

We are a Family owned and operated farming enterprise. We pride ourselves on the production of Almonds of the highest quality.

We are now seeking an experienced Farm Machinery Operator to join our team on a full-time basis at Tharbogang in NSW, 2680.

As a Farm Machinery Operator your everyday responsibilities will include:

• Machinery setup for operation;
• Operating a wide range of modern almond orchard equipment, including but not limited to tractors, tree shakers, harvesters, sweepers, elevators, sprayers;
• Operating the various machinery for harvest, spraying, sweeping, harvest, mulching and irrigation activities;
• Keeping production and work logs; and
• General maintenance of the above machinery.

In addition, the right candidate will be required to:

• Hold a Certificate II in Agriculture, or have as a minimum of two (2) years of work experience in a similar orchard environment;
• Hold a valid drivers’ licence and have own transportation;
• Communicate effectively with management, work alone unsupervised or as part of a team;
• Pride yourself in giving attention to detail monitoring machine performance and ability to make necessary adjustments; and
• Ability to follow safety protocols

This is a full-time position offering a generous salary between $70,000 - $80,000 per annum plus superannuation to the right candidate (depending on experience).
