About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Future Student Engagement Lead to join our dynamic University Marketing team. This is a pivotal role working closely with the Manager, Future Student Engagement to support the development and implementation of innovative outreach strategies that drive student recruitment and promote Curtin University as a first-choice education provider.

University study pathways have the potential to open people up to many exciting career and life opportunities. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the review and enhancement of team workflows and processes to deliver high-quality, sales-focused outreach initiatives aligned with university recruitment objectives.
  • Support development and implementation of annual outreach strategies targeting key future student groups and identifying new growth opportunities.
  • Champion best-practice outreach initiatives and support a high-performing, customer-centric team, driving continuous development, service planning, and strategic training initiatives.
  • Collaborate with leadership to support scalable outreach and recruitment planning.
  • Support the application of account-based marketing approaches to future student engagement.
  • Work with digital marketing teams to enhance lead generation, nurture and conversion strategies using automation platforms and analytics.
  • Implement digital engagement solutions that effectively complement face-to-face activities.
  • Stay well-informed about Curtin’s courses, pathways, and support offerings to you are well-informed to ensure accurate and persuasive communication with stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain relationships with WA schools, education providers, and partner organisations, representing Curtin in external forums.
  • Ensure outreach activities align with Curtin’s risk management policies and compliance requirements.
  • Evaluate outreach performance, report on KPIs, and use insights to inform continuous improvement and strategy.

  • Proven ability to lead, mentor and support a high-performing team with strong planning and organisational skills.

  • Demonstrated success in implementing student outreach and marketing strategies in a complex environment.

  • Outstanding communication and public speaking skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse audiences.

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building abilities both internally and externally.

  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and project management skills.

  • Strong understanding of client service excellence and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.Role Requirements:

  • As this is a fixed-term contract, you will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role

  • Successful applicants are subject to a National Police Clearance, and background, integrity, and reference checks to Curtin’s satisfaction

  • This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check

  • Ability to work outside of normal office hours when required.
