Irrigation Assistant - Ten Farms Pty Ltd

Ten Farms Pty Ltd is a produce company with deep roots in the Australian fresh produce industry. The company has evolved from a focus on bananas to marketing over 50,000 tonnes of fresh fruit annually across various categories.

Operating across three states, Ten Farms emphasizes efficient and transparent trade, supplying major Australian supermarkets such as Woolworths and Aldi. The company also exports fresh Australian produce, including over 500 product lines, to international markets like the USA, Canada, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. The business is seeking a full-time qualified Irrigation Assistant to join our team in Epping, Mildura, or Euston.

The salary offered is $73,150 per annum plus superannuation.

Providing support to the Irrigationist, the Irrigationist Assistant will be responsible for the following:

• Determine hydraulic parameters for an irrigation system
• Implement and irrigation-related program
• Schedule irrigations
• Select and manage pumping systems for irrigation
• Interpret and apply irrigation designs
• Supervise irrigation system installations
• Supervise irrigation maintenance

The applicants will have the following skills and experience:

• AQF Certificate II in the horticulture, viticulture or in a related field with 1 year of experience (working 20 hours per week)
• Practical experience as a farm worker within in Agriculture/Horticulture or Forestry industry
• Ability to operate wide range of farm and plant machinery including tractors and pump
• Knowledge and experience of agricultural production principles
• Excellent communication skills
• Driver’s licence
• Suitable agricultural or horticultural qualifications and/or experience
• Ability to work unsupervised or as a part of a team

Pay: $73,150.00 per year
