VN & AUS PTY LTD is a labour supply company registered in Victoria, Australia since 2021. We engage in providing labour hire services and recruitment solutions for businesses in Australia especially in poultry farming industry to resolve their staffing issues in recent years. We are looking for a Meat Inspector to join our team to work at:
Golden Farms – 47 Leather Street, Breakwater VIC 3219
La Ionica – 5 Lipton Drive, Thomastown, VIC 3074
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect animal carcasses, internal organs and meat processing facilities for disease;
- Undertake sampling of meat and meat products for quality, size and purity;
- Perform production analyses to establish and uphold quality standards;
- Monitor processes and product to ensure compliance to business, regulatory and customer Meat Safety Standards and specifications;
- Ensure that hygiene standards are strictly followed at storage, processing, and packing locations, as well as in transportation vehicles;
- Provide guidance to primary producers on the economic aspects of disease control and educate both producers and the public about the health impacts of diseases and contaminants;
- Supervise workers to ensure that high hygiene standards are maintained throughout all stages of the processes.
Skills & Experience Requirements
- Living in Australia with an easy reach to Breakwater VIC/Thomastown VIC
- Suitable qualification in Agriculture, Inspection, similar related field or equivalent relevant work experience
- Minimum 2 years full-time work experience in the agricultural sector, meat processing, inspection roles and/or equivalent;
- Strong attention to hygiene and ability to spot defects
- Demonstrable safe working skills
- Proven leadership and supervisory capabilities
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: 80,000 to 115,000 per annum plus superanuation
