We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Prevocational Registrars (REG1–REG6) to join a supportive, expanding Women’s Health team at a busy regional hospital located in the vibrant Fraser Coast area.

The Role:
This full-time, fixed-term opportunity offers excellent clinical exposure across a range of obstetrics and gynaecology services in a growing regional facility equipped with state-of-the-art maternity and surgical theatres. Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Deliver inpatient and outpatient care in antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal settings
  • Manage general gynaecology and perioperative patients under supervision
  • Participate in theatre lists, birthing suite management, clinics, and ward rounds
  • Provide after-hours coverage (night shifts, weekends, on-call) once credentialed
  • Assist in supervising junior doctors and contribute to medical student education
  • Engage in ongoing learning, audits, teaching, and quality improvement initiatives

    Who You Are:

  • Eligible for General Registration with the Medical Board of Australia

  • Completed at least 6 months’ clinical experience in O&G as an RMO
  • Strong clinical communication and teamwork skills
  • Passion for women’s health, rural/regional medicine, and improving maternal outcomes
  • A team player who values supportive supervision and a positive culture

    What You’ll Gain:

  • Salary: $143,275 – $179,086 (REG1–REG6) inclusive of salary + benefits

  • A well-structured O&G training environment with exposure to complex, high-acuity cases
  • Supportive consultants and senior registrars invested in your development
  • Access to simulation training, procedural skills workshops, and exam preparation resources
  • Work-life balance in a relaxed coastal location just hours from Brisbane

    About the Location:
This regional hospital is set in one of Queensland’s most beautiful seaside communities, offering a fantastic lifestyle for doctors and their families. Enjoy sandy beaches, island access, great schools, and a strong community feel while gaining experience in a hospital that punches well above its weight in both clinical complexity and teaching culture.
