In this role, you will be responsible for caring for primary school-aged children within a dedicated space. The centre strives to provide a holistic program that fosters children’s growth and development in a nurturing, natural environment.
The Role
As an Assistant Coordinator, your passion for childcare will shine through in your compassionate, friendly approach to interacting with children. You will be responsible for:
- With a genuine passion for childcare, you will be compassionate, approachable, and skilled at interacting with children in a positive, effective manner. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Acting as the responsible person for the service, ensuring all operations run smoothly.
- Providing a safe and supportive OSHC environment for children and staff.
- Managing attendance records and casual booking schedules to ensure child safety and proper supervision.
- Overseeing and supporting other educators to ensure they understand and fulfill their responsibilities.
- Assisting with the development and implementation of creative, educational programs, along with maintaining observations and reflection journals.
- Creating opportunities to share children’s experiences with families and celebrate their engagement in programs.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with families and the wider school community.
- 3 hours of Administration time.
This is a permanent, part-time position offering 33 hours per weekMonday to Friday split shifts BSC & ASC, Term Time Only.
About You
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- A qualification in Child Education and Care (or be working towards one).
- Previous experience in Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) in a similar role.
- A certificate in CHCPRT025 Identify & Report Children & Young People at Risk
- Current First Aid certification in HLTAID012
- A valid NSW Working with Children Check.
