Senior Program Officer

**As Senior Program Officer, you will specifically:

• Demonstrate cultural capability and/or a commitment to developing cultural capability to ensure an inclusive culture that aligns with the Human Rights Act 2019 and supports departmental programs and community partnerships aimed at preserving cultural connections for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
• Implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks, including Practice Standards and quality review processes to enhance and demonstrate the impact of youth justice services.
• Lead and support implementation of evidence-based service responses for young people in the youth justice system.
• Build and sustain organisational capacity to deliver a core suite of evidence-based programs and services.
• Collaborate with other departmental and government staff to provide advice on matters relating to young people and their families, departmental service responses, and system reform required to enable high quality and effective programs and services.
• Promote learning and information sharing in relation to programs and services, through the preparation of a range of high quality communication materials including intranet content, cabinet submissions, executive correspondence including briefing material and written material including reports and plans to guide service centre staff.

• Maintain positive connections with regional and detention centre staff to enable quality review and service delivery improvement planning.
