About the Opportunity:
As the Senior Safety Advisor, you will actively participate in teams and projects to undertake analysis, design, review and implementation of infrastructure safety related business activities, systems, policies, projects and programs of work.
About You:
The Senior Safety Advisor will:
Provide client focused safety advice to staff in schools, regional centres and other educational centres.
Collaborate with staff across central office and regional facilities teams and Infrastructure Services Division to provide comprehensive field-based safety support service to clients.
Participate in teams involved in the formulation of workable solutions for infrastructure safety related services issues that align to industry standards.
Maintain effective communication and collaboration with internal and external networks to support departmental responses to safety issues and a best practice approach to implementing consistent processes.
Provide high level advice, information and support services across a broad range of infrastructure safety related issues, with a strong focus on client centric facilities services and the provision of advice to staff in schools, regional teams and the wider community.
Participate in project teams for the development, implementation, maintenance and review of programs, policies and procedures, to support the strategic direction of the department for a range of infrastructure and planning related issues.
Travel and overnight travel may be a required.
Our ideal applicant will possess the following attributes:
An infrastructure safety background and/or relevant qualifications, project management skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.

What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)
- Previous experience in agricultural work preferred
- Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Valid driver's license (essential)
