The Role

About the role
We are seeking a Support Officer Logistics to join our Ayr team on a permanent full-time basis. Joining a close-knit team providing Agronomy, Livestock, Finance and Rural Supplies advice to the local community, you will play a crucial role supporting both our clients and branch staff through the sales and delivery process of farm supplies.

This will be a varied role that will see you provide warehousing & logistics support while also assisting the rural products team to deliver exceptional customer service. Working closely with the Rural Products Sales Manager, you will assist with receiving and dispatching orders, maintaining inventory accuracy, and providing excellent customer service. Supported by the Elders network, you will be provided with the tools necessary for you to grow in your career.

Responsibilities
As a Support Officer Logistics you will:

  • Assist sales staff by picking, packing and coordinating deliveries of orders to clients
  • Provide exceptional customer service, acting as the first point of contact for order deliveries/ pick-ups
  • Perform the storage, handling, receiving and dispatching of stock in a safe and timely manner
  • Ensure good inwards and outwards are processed accurately according to the associated paperwork.
  • Assist with stocktake and other rural products logistics support activities as needed

About you

To succeed in the role of a Support Officer Logistics, you have:

  • A current Forklift Licence and Light Rigid licence
  • Ag chem certificate, or willingness to obtain one
  • Familiarity with rural products, merchandise storage and handling practices
  • Previous experience within a fast-paced customer service environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work as a team
  • Effective communication skills, written and verbal
