nbn is seeking to attract more Women and First Nations individuals to join our ACCOM award-winning Customer Field Technician Traineeship Program. We have an opportunity for a Trainee Customer Field Technician to join our regional team based in Cooma.

Our Field Service teams are nbn’s professional, trusted, and essential customer-facing workforce. They’re the friendly faces, confident voices, and skilled hands working on our network and in communities every day. Our Trainee Customer Field Technicians are an integral part of these teams, learning, developing, and building skills as they turn their passion into practice every day. They contribute to something important and lasting - a network that spans our country, bringing unlimited possibilities to Australian homes and businesses.

As a Trainee Customer Field Technician, you will:

  • Work in the field helping to connect customers to the internet
  • Be employed on a permanent full-time basis with leave entitlements
  • Work towards a Cert III in Telecommunications Technology over the 12-month traineeship
  • Be supported by experts in the field to complete your traineeship, learning how to be a Customer Field Technician

Whether you’re out in the network performing inspections or maintenance, diagnosing, and resolving faults, to providing the best service, or connecting more homes and businesses to high-speed fibre.

A passion for customer service and an appetite for working independently and at pace will set you up for even more success. We’ll support you with developing your skills and will provide the training and guidance you need on the job in a safe, supportive, and flexible environment while you get paid.
